How To Turn The Volume Up Or Down On AirPods Pro 2

With the new sensor found in the AirPods Pro 2, customers may change the volume without removing their iPhone or Apple Watch. How? Read on.

Apple unveiled the AirPods Pro 2, the newest version of the AirPods Pro, at the Far Out launch event. Recall that the AirPods Pro debuted in 2019 and have since risen to the top of the list of best-selling wireless earphones. The AirPods Pro 2 significantly increased the battery life and noise cancellation over the first AirPods Pro, which had a respectable battery life and Active Noise Cancellation.

The AirPods Pro 2 include a sophisticated H2 chip inside that makes it possible for brand-new capabilities like Adaptive Transparency and skin detection for in-ear detection.

In addition, the charging case of the AirPods Pro 2 has a speaker for Find My so that users can track their device if it's lost. Then there are the low-distortion audio drivers that produce clearer, richer sound.

Among other features, the AirPods Pro 2 has a new touch sensor. The sensor is situated on the stem of the device, which hangs outside the ear. Now, users can manage playback functions such as adjusting the volume with the touch sensor. Users simply have to swipe up or down on the touch sensor to turn the volume up or down. Additionally, tapping once on the sensor will play and pause music or answer and end calls. Users can tap and hold the touch sensor to switch between the Adaptive Transparency and Active Noise Cancellation mode on the AirPods Pro 2.

The AirPods Pro 2 Come With A New Touch Sensor

Now, there are other ways to modify volume as well. For example, while listening to a music track on their AirPods Pro 2, users can ask Siri to adjust their volume. To do so, users can press and hold the Force Sensor or say "Hey Siri," followed by a command such as "increase the volume" or "decrease the volume." Further, users can control the volume of their AirPods Pro 2 by dragging the volume slider in an app, on their iPhone's Lock Screen or through the volume slider in the Control Center. Apple Watch can also turn the volume up or down on AirPods, provided that both devices are connected.

While the original AirPods Pro did not have a touch sensor, they came with a Force Sensor, which can activate Siri. The new sensor adds much functionality and convenience to the AirPods experience. The AirPods Pro 2 is up for pre-orders on the company's official website and will be available from Sept. 23, 2022. The price has been set at $249.99.
